2023-2024 Scholarship Information

Each year, the Iowa National Guard Auxiliary has the opportunity to award deserving students and spouses of Iowa National Guard members with scholarships.

Scholarships - please read to see which one applies to you:

Student Scholarship is open to dependents of an Iowa National Guard Member (current or retired*). Student Applicants need to be a graduating senior and pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree or a certificate program. Application Deadline is February 1st, 2024.

Spouse Scholarship is open to current spouses of a Iowa National Guard Member (current or retired*). May be used for any degree (Associates, Bachelors, or Post-Secondary degrees) or continuing education. Application deadline is June 1st, 2024.

*if the sponsor is a retired Guardsman, use their Unit prior to retirement ("retirement" means earned 20+ years in Iowa National Guard or medical discharge from Iowa National Guard).

Applicants cannot reapply if they have already received an INGAux Scholarship in the past.

Applicants will be asked to include in the application form:

  • High School Transcripts

  • Acceptance Letter (if applicable)

  • List of Activities and Work

  • Essay

  • Guard Member Verification

  • Letter of Recommendation

Scholarship Applicants are rated on Essay, Work, Activities, Leadership Positions, GPA, Test Scores, and Letter of Recommendation. 

Incomplete applications will not be scored.
